Tour 2: Athens with Classical Tour (5-6 nights)
This program includes 1-2 nights stay in Athens with sightseeing,
a visit to cape Sounion and an Athens by night. Also included the
full 4 day classical tour with a visit to Meteora.
ATHENS SIGHTSEEING
Your expert guide takes you to Constitution Square , the Tomb of
the Unknown Soldier, the Acropolis (visit), the Theatre of Dionyssos,
Hadrian's Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus (visit), the Olympic Stadium,
the Royal Palace, the Academy, the University, and the National Library.

Afternoon drive along the scenic coastal road through the wonderful
beach resort areas of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza, arriving at
the southern tip of Attica, Cape Sounion , where the white marble
pillars of the Temple of Poseidon still stand. This is a photographers'
delight so bring your camera! Early evening return to hotel.
ATHENS BY NIGHT
An impressive evening with dinner and traditional folk dances at
a typical Greek taverna. (In the winter, a visit to the Mikrolimano
yacht harbor is included).
FULL 4 DAY CLASSICAL TOUR WITH METEORA
The visit to all the classical sites is combined here with a visit
to Meteora and its famous monasteries.
Day 1: Leave by the coastal road for
the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the theatre of
Epidaurus, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the
town of Nafplion (short stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the archaeological
site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia through the
central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Dinner
and overnight in Olympia , the cradle of the Olympic Games. (D)
Day 2: In the morning visit the
archaeological site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient
stadium and the archaeological museum. Then drive on through the plains
of Ilia and Achaia and over the magnificent cable stayed bridge which
crosses the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque
towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi . Dinner and
overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 3: In the morning visit the
archaeological site and the museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small
town situated at the foot of the astonishing rock formations of Meteora.

Day 4: Visit Meteora. Amidst striking
scenery, perched on huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air,
stand ageless monasteries where you can see exquisite specimens of
Byzantine art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia , Thermopylae (visit
the monument of Leonidas ). Arrive in Athens early in the evening.
